The hunt continues

Despite the recent cold wet snap here in the Avon Valley I’ve managed to keep getting out into the bush looking for native orchids.

Dancing Spider Orchid
The dancing spider orchid (Caladenia discoidea) is also known as the Bee Orchid and Antelope Orchid. Although it is very small and easily missed its distinctive shape means that it cannot be mistaken for anything else. Mount Observation, Western Australia. Canon EOS5d, Sigma 105 f2.8 macro lens, Canon 430EX speedlite with Stofen Omnibounce mounted on camera. Exposure: 1/200 s at f/8.0 ISO 100 in manual mode.
